THE NEW CREATION: GOD’S NEW OPERATING SYSTEM FOR KINGDOM AUTHORITY | KIB 554
Kingdom Intelligence Briefing — Episode 554
With Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake
WHAT IF THE NEW BIRTH IS FAR MORE POWERFUL THAN MOST CHRISTIANS HAVE EVER UNDERSTOOD?
When someone is born again, God does more than forgive their sins. Through Jesus Christ’s supernatural work of redemption, He brings about a new creation.
But what happens when a believer receives a new spirit while the soul keeps operating on old patterns, false beliefs, and worldly programming?
In this powerful episode of Kingdom Intelligence Briefing, Dr. Michael Lake and Mary Lou Lake explore the extraordinary realities of the New Covenant and explain why understanding the relationship between the spirit, soul, God’s Torah, and Kingdom authority is essential for believers in the last days.
Drawing on his ongoing work on Kingdom Warrior II, Dr. Lake offers a memorable illustration of the Christian life using a computer with two drives.
THE SPIRIT AND SOUL: GOD’S NEW OPERATING SYSTEM
Imagine a computer with two drives.
The C: Drive contains the operating system. It represents the spirit.
The D: Drive contains programs and data. It represents the soul.
Before salvation, humanity operates under the law of sin and death. But through the new birth, God creates something entirely new within the believer.
The problem is that the soul may still contain years of incorrect programming, destructive patterns, and false beliefs.
This explains why believers can struggle between what God has accomplished in their spirit and what they have learned throughout their lives.
The solution is the renewing of the mind through the Word of God.
NEW CREATION — NEW GOVERNANCE — NEW AUTHORITY
Dr. Lake examines Ezekiel 11:19 and 2 Corinthians 5:17 to explore the supernatural transformation promised under the New Covenant.
He develops three interconnected principles:
- NEW CREATION — God gives the believer a new spiritual life through Jesus Christ.
- NEW GOVERNANCE SYSTEM — The believer learns to live according to God’s Kingdom principles and His instruction written upon the heart.
- NEW AUTHORITY SYSTEM — As the believer matures in obedience and aligns with God’s Word, they learn to operate under the delegated authority of the Kingdom of God.
This is not merely a change in religious affiliation. It is a transformation of spiritual identity and the way a believer lives.
WAS THE APOSTLE PAUL AGAINST THE LAW OF GOD?
One major theological discussion in this episode concerns the widespread belief that Paul rejected God’s Torah.
Dr. Lake challenges this interpretation and examines Paul’s writings alongside Acts 15, Romans 7–8, and the promises of the New Covenant.
He argues that Paul’s opposition was not to God’s righteous instruction but to the teaching that Gentiles must receive circumcision as a prerequisite for salvation.
Salvation has always depended upon God’s redeeming work rather than human achievement.
THE BATTLE BETWEEN THE SPIRIT AND THE SOUL
Drawing on Romans 7–8 and 2 Corinthians 10:3–5, Dr. Lake explains how spiritual strongholds, false teachings, and destructive thought patterns can conflict with the life God has established in the believer.
Renewing the mind involves identifying lies, rejecting arguments that contradict Scripture, and bringing every thought into obedience to Jesus Christ.
The Christian life is not about installing a new religious program over an unchanged spiritual condition.
It begins with God’s supernatural work of regeneration and continues through sanctification, obedience, and spiritual maturity.
OBEDIENCE, CONFIDENCE, AND ANSWERED PRAYER
First John 3:19–24 connects confidence before God, faith in Jesus Christ, love for one another, and obedience to His commandments.
Dr. Lake examines how believers can move from spiritual conflict toward a life increasingly aligned with God’s purposes.
The goal is not merely greater knowledge. It is a living relationship with Christ that transforms the believer’s thinking, conduct, prayer life, and service in the Kingdom.
THE RETURN OF TRUE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY
The discussion also addresses the need for genuine apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers who will establish believers in biblical truth.
Dr. Lake and Mary Lou discuss the importance of pastors who care for wounded believers, teachers who provide substantial biblical instruction, and prophetic ministry that operates in truth and love rather than manipulation or self-promotion.
The Church must recover the biblical foundations necessary to prepare believers for the days ahead.
THE CHALLENGE TO THE REMNANT
The New Covenant is not merely a theological concept. It is the supernatural foundation for a transformed life.
God has made a new creation possible through Jesus Christ.
Now believers must renew their minds, reject false teaching, embrace God’s instruction, and learn to walk in the realities of His Kingdom.
NEW CREATION → NEW GOVERNANCE SYSTEM → NEW AUTHORITY SYSTEM
