The Rise of Islam & the Crisis of Biblical Christianity | KWR0062
Kingdom War Room
DESCRIPTION
What happens when a civilization loses its biblical foundations while competing religious and ideological systems grow stronger?
In this powerful Kingdom War Room discussion, Dr. Michael Lake, Dr. Mike Spaulding, and Pastor Corby Shuey examine the growing influence of Islam in the Western world, the ideological conflicts facing America, and the spiritual condition that has left much of the modern Church unprepared to respond.
This conversation is not a call for hatred, hostility, or mistreatment of Muslims. The speakers explicitly distinguish between people and the doctrines and ideological claims they are examining.
The deeper question is:
DO CHRISTIANS ACTUALLY KNOW WHAT THEY BELIEVE?
The Church is entering an age in which shallow Christianity will not be sufficient.
As competing worldviews grow increasingly bold, believers must understand the Scriptures, know why they believe what they believe, develop biblical discernment, and become deeply rooted in Jesus Christ.
This episode examines:
- The rise of Islamic influence in Western culture and politics
- Islam, Sharia, jihad, and competing religious worldviews
- Why Christians must understand the theological differences between the biblical Jesus and the Islamic understanding of Jesus
- The relationship between postmodernism, cultural deconstruction, socialism, and Islamism discussed by the panel
- How emotionalism has weakened biblical Christianity
- Why believers must learn to distinguish feelings from biblical truth
- The danger of churches abandoning serious biblical study
- Why spiritual discernment will become increasingly important
- The need for pastors and Christian leaders to preach biblical truth without fear
- Why the next generation desperately needs a biblical worldview
- The difference between emotional conversion and genuine faith in Jesus Christ
- Why worship must be centered on God rather than human experience
- The necessity of spiritual discipline and deep biblical conviction
Why the Remnant must develop deep spiritual roots for the days ahead
One of the central warnings of this Kingdom War Room is simple:
A shallow faith cannot withstand a serious spiritual battle.
Dr. Lake observes that Christians have moved from being a studious people to becoming an entertainment-oriented people. Dr. Spaulding warns that believers who do not know Scripture or understand why they believe what they believe will find themselves increasingly unprepared for opposition.
The answer is not fear. The answer is not hatred. The answer is not political violence. The answer is a Church that returns to the Word of God, walks in the fear of the Lord, develops spiritual discernment, and becomes firmly rooted in Jesus Christ.
Pastor Corby makes this especially clear in the closing prayer: the response being advocated is not rudeness, violence, or aggression toward others, but humble submission to Scripture and faithful allegiance to Jesus Christ.
The time for “three-millimeter-deep Christianity” is over. We need roots that run deep. We need believers who know the Word. We need men and women who understand their faith. And above everything else, we need a generation that knows Jesus Christ as Lord, King, Messiah, Redeemer, and Savior.

Job 38:3 — “Dress for action like a man”; the discussion uses Job to emphasize accountability before Almighty God.
Matthew 24 — The episode connects contemporary deception with Jesus’ warnings concerning the last days.
Psalm 1 — The closing exhortation uses the image of the deeply rooted tree as a model for believers who must withstand spiritual drought.
The episode also repeatedly emphasizes the biblical confession of Jesus Christ as Lord, Messiah, Savior, Redeemer, and God incarnate. The discussion specifically contrasts that confession with Islamic Christology.
