KIB 237 – The Chameleon Christian:  Be Not Conformed to This World

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

For the past few decades, the Church has been seeking cultural relevance.  This quest, that strays away from biblicity, has manifested in portions of Evangelicalism trying to identify with shifting cultural norms rather than remaining an anchor for truth.  Some believers can be compared to chameleons seeking to blend in rather than standing out.  Yet, is this the biblical mandate for believers?  The apostle Paul admonished believers in Rome to not conform to the world around them.

Dr. Michael Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary and is the author of the best-selling books, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, and The Sheeriyth Imperative:  Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell.  Dr. Lake is a popular speaker at national Christian conferences and is a frequent guest on many Christian TV and radio/podcast programs in North America.

Mary Lou Lake has worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 30 years and is the author of the book, What Witches Don’t Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition.

This seems like a time (something God has placed on my heart), just like the remnant coming from the first exile..during the time of Ezra..Nehemiah..that those that were coming out began to cry out..( also during the month of Keslev-which is coming up) for God to move on the hearts of men to loose the things of God for restoration unto holiness and worship. Daniel..Haggai..Zechariah..Mordecai even…wow! All of these awesome..fearless men of God that encouraged the hearts of the people to be steadfast in the faith..we as the remnant today are in good company..that our hearts and faith mirror their own in God..as God builds His holy temple using ‘living’ stones!! Hallelujah!!! Just wanted to share the fire God has placed in my heart!! Thank u for all u do!!

  2. I needed to hear this sharing of yours at this time. Thank you for being authentic–for your sake and ours. May God shine His face upon you and yours today and every day.

  3. Have a restful December. You will be missed.

  4. Dear Dr. Michael and Mary Lou,
God Bless your family and may the peace and blood of Jesus Christ be your shield. I am praying for healing with your situation with Michael’s mother-in law. It is so helpful to me to hear someone in ministry, confirm that we all have challenges in our family situations, even those called to lead in ministry to others. And no wonder, the family unit is the smallest warfare unit in the army of the Lord.

Praising the Lord for what He is doing with this ministry!!! Please know this as confirmation, there is a REALLY BIG NEED for the 2 books on the true roots of Christmas, and On the ways to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord. We, the remnant, need these books ASAP and I am praying for the Holy Spirit to use Michael and Stefanie as His secretaries– with content flowing so fast to them, they can barely keep up with the typing and that the books are out and published in half the time! I will be praying for no interrupts and no interference from the enemy, in Jesus’s Name!

    Love you all!

    1. It would be great to be able to have all of these books finished today. However, it is going to take several years of research and writing to get the five current books written, proofed, typeset, and in print. Please stand with us in prayer as we diligently work on them. We will labor to get each one completed and published as soon as possible.

  5. Dr. Lake and Mary Lou, I just listened to last week’s podcast and just wanted to tell you how sorry I am that you’re going thru that. I told Randy that I wish I was there to give you both a hug. But I know your faith and trust in the Father is strong and that He will walk you through it, and I believe GREAT blessings are on the other side.
We love your whole family and all the ecclesia at Seymour so much, and we’re so grateful to the Lord for bringing us together.
Looking forward to seeing all of you again.
    In His Love,
    Robin

  6. Great message! Really going to miss these podcasts in December but I will certainly be praying God makes this time both restful and profitable for you both in terms of writing and your other ministry endeavors!
Love your candor Mary! Tnx for being both humble and willing to express your vulnerabilities; we can all relate to this! Yeshua is indeed our hope and strength, especially in times of trial!
Looking forward to the Feast of Dedication/Festival of Lights (Hanukkah) this year. Couldn’t agree more with what you said about using this time to examine our own hearts, remove any pagan leaven from our lives and to rededicate our temples to the Lord! We indeed need to be filled and refilled with the oil of the Holy Spirit to prepare us for the assignments He will be releasing to us in the coming year! So excited to be a part of the remnant work for Yeshua’s kingdom!
Love you both so much Dr Mike and Mary and deeply appreciate your teachings from the Lord! You have been such a wonderful encouragement to me and my family this past year.
May the Lord richly bless you and keep you in His loving care and tender mercies!

    Shalom!
    Pamela

  7. Thank you so much to both of you for your diligence, prayers, research, and sharing with the body of Christ, it’s just so nourishing and encouraging!!! My family loves and prays for you both 🙂
