KIB 223 – Is the Modern Church the Church of the Living Dead?

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

Over the past one hundred years, the Mystery Religions have been laboring to water down the gospel, to distort the Word of God, and to present “another” Jesus to the world.  Has the hyper-grace movement (as well as many others) produced unsaved Christians?  Does the Word instruct us to work out our salvation to maturity or just hold on to our salvation golden ticket and romance the world?  The Remnant is being called into a deeper walk with God and to pray for the salvation of those who have accepted another Jesus.

Dr. Michael Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary and is the author of the best-selling books, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, and The Sheeriyth Imperative:  Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell.  Dr. Lake is a popular speaker at national Christian conferences and is a frequent guest on many Christian TV and radio/podcast programs in North America.

Mary Lou Lake has worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 30 years and is the author of the book, What Witches Don’t Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition.

  1. Dr. Lake you mention things about Paul as I knew and you mentioned, who trained Paul the Theologian and Dr. of Law Rabbi Gamaliel, and his Dad the ” Great Hillel “, who was one of the Teachers of one of the two, Pharisee Schools. A Rabbi friend of mine believes Yeshua came out of one of the Pharisee Schools. His reason is in the writings Yeshua mentions ” Hillel ” and you could not be called a ” Rabbi ” in Yeshua’s time unless you came out of a Pharisee School. What is your opinion. I could believe it, he cleared the Pharisee teaching at times that was wrong.

    1. This is not necessarily so. The wealthy families could send their children to one of the two major schools of the Pharisees. However, Jewish scholars have documented that there were Rabbis in the Second Temple Period that came from less affluent families and could not read. Some scholars contend that this may be part of the origin of “Oral Law.” These men would memorize what other Rabbis had taught, then simply reteach it while giving credit to the originating Rabbi. We see this trail of memorization in the writings of the Talmud.

There is nothing new under the sun. Preachers are doing the same thing today by looking to Christian TV for messages rather than studying the Scriptures for themselves and allowing the work of the Holy Spirit within.

  2. I heard this expressed perfectly by an Iranian believer who came here to escape persecution. After a few years here she wanted to go back to Iran where believers are strong. She told her husband, “There’s a satanic lullaby putting Christians in this country to sleep.” I have never heard it expressed that way, but I couldn’t have said it better myself.
