KIB 172 – The Perils of Paganism: Lessons from the House of Jehu

KIB 172 – The Perils of Paganism: Lessons from the House of Jehu

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

In this episode, Dr. Michael and Mary Lou Lake examine topics from the news:  from the purging of Christianity in China to the moral decline right here in America.

The teaching today examines the perils of allowing the creeping influence of paganism into our lives, using the life of Jehu as an example.  Jehu was anointed by God to take down Jezebel and the prophets of Baal.  However, he refused to remove the golden calves that were erected by Jeroboam and return to the commandments of God.  This act opened the door to the enemy in Jehu’s life and reign.  The parallel between Constantine and Jeroboam is also examined as well as the possible prophetic imagery of the two golden calves.

Dr. Michael Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary and is the author of the best-selling book, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, and the newly released book, The Sheeriyth Imperative: Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell.

Mary Lou Lake has worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 30 years and is the author of the book, What Witches Don’t Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition.

  1. I have felt the peace you’re talking about also. A couple of days ago as I got into my car I felt as though something had been lifted. It felt light and peaceful and just good.

  2. So glad you opened that “can” I am often confronted in my “Jewishness” in my worship from fellow believers. Most not realizing that they have been taught to reject God’s true teachings.Sabbath, Feasts, diet etc. Thank you for FINALLY making a stand on those “traditions”. You have greatly encouraged me to keep my walk righteous and pure removed from man’s holidays. Despite the greater number of worshipers who still do. I keep praying for all of them to “see” the truth and be convicted to change.

    1. Glad you enjoyed the podcast. However, regarding the Feasts in contracts to C&E (as well as traditions), this has been our stand since around 1995 and have consistently presented this in our podcasts, audio MP3 archive, and teaching videos through Biblical Life TV.

      1. Have only found you in the last year and am not through all your podcasts. My apologies if I implied you had not taught this before. May God continue to bless you and Mary and your ministry.

        1. Just share your excitement and wanted you to know there is much more in our library of materials. 🙂

Thank you for another wonderful podcast. I have been honest with my husband about how I feel concerning the holidays. He doesn’t understand my stand on this no matter how I try to explain that these days are not Christian Holidays. Christianity has pretty much bought the lie and those that know the truth still continue to celebrate for fear of causing hurt and division in their families.
I admit I have felt that same way. I do not decorate on these days anymore , and my family thinks something is wrong with me. What’s really funny is that they do not hesitate to call me to pray for them.
Cray not to decorate, but not so crazy to pray. Makes me smile.

Thank you again for shooting from the hip. I love straight talk.
The Lord showed this to me many years ago. I knew, but continued to celebrate the holidays with my family. We even read from the Word of God on Christmas and Easter. I tried desperately to make Jesus the focal point of each holiday and Each time I felt guilty because I knew these days were pagan.
Jesus should be our focal point every day and His Word should be ever before us.
    May the Lord Bless you
    and again,
    Thank you both so much
