KIB 204 – The Creeping Vine of Paganism

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

The Western world is following the same trajectory of Nazi Germany:  it has become Neo-Pagan.  With the revival of the practices of the “old gods” within our culture, modern Evangelicalism is struggling for cultural relevance.  The easy solution is adaptation or amalgamation, which is simply another word for compromise.  Such a solution ignores the apostle Paul’s instruction to the Gentile Church in 2 Cor. 6:17 – “Therefore come out from among them and be separate says the Lord . . .”  The Lake’s examine the trend of Christians supporting tattooing, what the Bible says about it, and its occult/pagan history.

Dr. Michael Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary and is the author of the best-selling books, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, and The Sheeriyth Imperative:  Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell.  Dr. Lake is a popular speaker at national Christian conferences and is a frequent guest on many Christian TV and radio/podcast programs in North America.

Mary Lou Lake has worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 30 years and is the author of the book, What Witches Don’t Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition

  1. Excellent talk on tattoos. I received a tattoo around year 2012/2013. A big tattoo that was offered to me for “free.” After the tattoo was printed on my back, I immediately regretted it and felt like I had a big target on my back also had immediately start having some crazy events happen to me that have never happened before that time.

I also like the fact that you mentioned the lack of respect for elders that is taking place. Our elders have paved the way for our younger generation to continue God’s work. They deserve the utmost respect.

    Sincerely,
    Steve

    God Bless you both richly!

  2. Thank you so much for this broadcast. I teach children 10 to 12 years old and it is so true what you say that God is raising up a new righteous generation. Please pray for these children as they are in a high school hostel which is full of darkness and free masonary strongholds. They are pure and sweet and have righteous hearts and minds and they are often scared and some have seen demons. These are the little kids who attend SCA (School Christian Association) at the government school where I’ve been teaching for almost 7 years now. Thank you so much. Blessings. 3. Dr. and Mary Lou Lake,

Concerning the teachers and pastors teaching the hogwash in the church. I was a part of a church in recent years where the scriptures were twisted in order to scare and control the congregation. The pastors appeared to be godly men, but both wives were witches. Sex abuse victims were told “if you do not forgive men their trespasses against you, neither will your father in heaven forgive you of your trespasses.” This scripture being used to silence the victim. I was unaware at the time but after speaking a little truth, I was moved into a bible study group (that had gatekeepers). The mind games were endless. Eventually I confronted the leaders of the bible study group and was quickly removed from the church. Shook the dust off of my feet. But before I left, I confronted one of the witches. She was sweeping the floor and I asked her, right in front of her pastor husband, “riding your broom around again are we?” I did not realize that I was picking a fight with some powerful witches. God led me to you to help me understand the nature of the beast and learn how to fight it. I appreciate both of you.

  4. I agree completely that the church as a whole has compromised so many things because they fear if they don’t a lot of people won’t attend. They are more concerned about numbers and potential offerings and tithes that might come in instead of doing what the Word of God says. I do have a question though concerning tatoos. What happens if a person gets saved at a very young age, then later on in life gets a tatoo. My son has done this and I do not approve of it but he is a grown man and there was nothing I could do to stop it. I can say that there is a direct link between tatoos, and a very bad attitude towards life in general and drug use. They all seem to go hand in hand.

    1. Like anyone away from God, he will have one more thing to repent of when the Holy Spirit woes him into the Kingdom!

  5. When I was first saved almost 30 years ago I had moved with my first husband to the desert. We were brand new believers and had decided not to go to church until we had read the Bible all the way through together to find out what it REALLY said before we submitted to some other authority. I don’t regret that decision.

My husband was killed in an automobile crash a few months later and I cherish the time I had alone afterwards with the Lord reading the Scripture for 8 hours a day for the next 5 months. I wrestled with many Scriptures (I only had an NIV translation), but as I submitted to the Lord, the Holy Spirit himself began to teach me what they meant.

My husband had designed a tattoo (that I wouldn’t let him get) of a dancing skeleton. After he died I considered getting that tattoo as a memorial to him. I had set up the appointment and everything when I just “happened” to open my Bible the evening before the appointment to Leviticus 19:28. Then the Holy Spirit told me that doing these things would mark me as a “Priest of Ba’al.”

Needless to say I cancelled my appointment. Shortly after that I saw the movie “Dances with Wolves” for the first time. I completely understood the scene on a deep level why the white woman cut herself after the death of her husband. But now I also understood why God doesn’t want us to do these things that not only show our lack of faith through perpetual mourning of the dead, but also opens doors to demonic influence.

In college I met a spiritual warrior for the Lord who observed how each time a young person would get a tattoo “the light would go out in their eyes” and they would begin to live a life of partying. At that time I also read an article in the L.A. Times about a pastor that ministered to ex gang members. He said the only way he could assure a complete break with a gang was when the person was willing to have their tattoos surgically removed. I remember that he commented that there was some kind of “spiritual tie” that kept them connected to the gang through the tattoo.

Years later after I was remarried and had children and was searching for churches to attend, the Lord would always show me the men with shaved heads, tattoos and goatees and say, “See how the Priests of Ba’al have overcome my churches.” These tend to be the churches intent on growing BIG “for the Lord.” And are filled with false worship, smoke and mirrors.

My daughters were surrounded by Christians who tattooed themselves and it was hard to fight the prevailing culture, but diligent prayers kept their bodies clean and dedicated to the Lord. Not one of my 3 girls desired to get a tattoo, even when all their friends (and a grandmother!) got them.

  6. Also, the spirit behind the “need for entertainment” that Mary Lou mentioned started as part of the Bacchanal (and probably older religious rituals). The spirit’s name is “Hilarity” (as the Holy Spirit showed me) and is a counterfeit to God’s true Spirit of Joy. This is the spirit that motivated the “mixed multitude” to build the golden calf so soon after the Red Sea miracle. As Mary Lou truthfully spoke it’s VERY hard to get rid of, hence God’s drastic action of “drawing the line in the sand.” It is also the spirit that inspires comedians and one of the reasons so many of them end up on drugs or suicide.

A final note is how sad it is that so many children I know who grew up in “Children’s Church” ended up fighting porn and heroine addictions. The Lord instructed me to keep my children beside me in the service as they were kept in Biblical times and again I am thankful for his wise instruction as all of my girls have strong discernment as a result.

  7. What an excellent program. Thanks
