KIB 160 – Surrender:  Slave vs. Bondservant

Kingdom Intelligence Briefing

On today’s podcast, Dr. Lake and Mary revisit the topic of being a slave or a bondservant.  As Passover approaches and we search our hearts, it is important to remember how Jesus freed us from the wages of sin and death, from slavery to freedom.  Dr. Lake discusses Romans 6:16-19 and examines the dynamic of either a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness.  He also takes a look at Philippians 2:5-11, with Jesus as our example of a bondservant.  Dr. Lake and Mary talk about how the love for our Master compels us to hang on to Him, even though He has set us free.
Dr. Michael Lake is the Chancellor and Founder of Biblical Life College and Seminary and is the author of the best-selling book, The Shinar Directive:  Preparing the Way for the Son of Perdition, and the newly released book, The Sheeriyth Imperative: Empowering the Remnant to Overcome the Gates of Hell.
Mary Lou Lake has worked side by side with her husband in ministry for over 30 years and is the author of the book, What Witches Don’t Want Christians to Know – Expanded Edition.

  1. You guys are wonderful and I certainly enjoy listening. Just one small request: when Dr Lake speaks it’s hard to hear him because it sounds as if he’s Whispering sometimes, that’s all. I will continue to pray for your efforts to help the
Remnant survive in these last days.

  2. A very powerful message- Thank you

  3. So appreciate listening to truth… I am being challenged to not only listen but live out. That can be painful as it has so shifted my paradigm. Thank you and please be praying for your listeners.

  4. The moment I behold my God my King My Savior my Protector my Provider the author and finisher of my life and of my life Everlasting I’m going to run I’m going to run smack-dab right into His arms and I’m going to thank Him and I’m going to hug Him and I’m going to hold Him and I’m never letting Him go so it’s okay if I’m at the end of the line. THANK YOU JESUS , THANK YOU

  5. Hi, Dr. Lake. Sorry to bother you again, but the mp3 download link is not working. Keeping your daughter and grandchildren in our prayers. Thank you for all the great teaching.

    1. Don’t know why it did not save properly. The link should be working now.

  6. Dear Mary and Mike
Thank you SO much for an informative and powerful message. This message is truly anointed by God and I will pass it on under the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Thank you so much. It’s clarity is like a diamond with many facets catching the light. Wow, what an inspiring message. Thank you and God bless you both. Your teaching is reaching far and wide and God is using you enormously.

  7. So Good..So Good SO Good. Your words Sweep My Heart into the presence of the Lord. Surrender to HIS Love is the path of the Bond servant and fall in Love with our most Perfect and Splendid King. I became a Bond Servant of the Lord after getting mad at the Devil. He tricked me, I was so ashamed and then I realised ….I know how to get you back. Fully surrender my Life to the Lord most High. It was a very personal and amazing moment. I laid down my addictions and came into covenant with my King, Yeshua. The enemies plan to defile me backfired and now….I am one of his worst enemies. The Lord has raised me up to release commissions in the courts of heaven.
We will be able to stand before His Glory only by becoming as He is, Shining forth His Rightcheousness.
I Loved this Podcast….. amongst many others.
    Thank you very Much.
    With much Love

  8. That was a wonderful message. Thank you two so much. I’m praying for you & your family. Thank you for being a holy awesome example. I see God in you both.

  9. I have a question? Are we to do the communion? Or? Not? When, if so?

    There’s just so many opinions!

    1. Opinions are link belly buttons. Everyone has one and many are just full of lint. 🙂 . We do know that the Lord’s Table should be celebrated at Passover. I believe that Messiah interpreted the Passover and reduced it to Bread and Wine. That is not to say that there are not many wonderful lessons that can be taught through a traditional Passover Sader. Paul also tells us that as often as we take it in his writings, which leaves the door open to taking it more than once a year. We need to separate ourselves from the Catholic belief that the priest is sacrificing Jesus every time the Table is observed. From this practice, many believe that it needs to be taken daily and miss the biblical dynamics of remembering what the LORD has done for us.

The bread and wine (or juice) at Ev Sabbath can easily become the Lord’s Table and connects the practice to Abraham and Melchizedek and the revelation given to Abraham about what the Messiah would one day do. Perhaps the believers in Acts knew this and celebrated it at the beginning of each Sabbath as well.

Pray about it and following the leading of the Holy Spirit. You can’t go wrong doing that.

  10. Thank you again for this podcast. Your love for our Lord Yeshua comes through loud and clear. I listened to this in segments, as I was interrupted about 5 times. I have been struggling for several years with health issues. It seems I just get one thing kind of under control and am hit with another weird problem. Even my family is stunned that with all my efforts to clean up my diet and supplements I keep coming up with some new “off the wall” ailment. So as I was listening to the final few minutes I asked the Lord to please give me a word of hope to hang on to. And he did. When Mary said “I am going to hold onto Jesus, and NOT let go”, I said okay, there it is. And then the Lord reminded me of the scripture in Hebrews that says, Yeshua learned obedience by the things He suffered. If He had to learn obedience, how much more do I? I will wait for Lord to heal me, and I pray that I learn to be obedient to Him. Sorry this is so long, but please know that God is using you both to touch many people through your “realness” and obvious love of the Lord! Bless you and your family.

  11. I just got to about21mins in . The pastor of my local Baptist Church gave a service for two married lesbians andtheir offspring. When I questioned this he said Romans could be interpreted a different way. My discerning Holy Spirit not just nudging me but pulling me out of that church. So now unchurched and needing all the comfort from these podcasts. Thankyou I have not had a pleasant experience with WASPS but still love the Lord.
